Decarbonizing our economies is one of the most pressing challenges policy shapers have ever faced. It touches every part of our economies globally, and the majority of capital dedicated to decarbonization originates from the governments. If we want to reach net-zero emissions globally by 2050, innovators and policymakers must join forces to make it a reality. The Policy Summit is where the world’s policy shapers gather to support the global response to the threat of climate change and createtionable commitments. Much work and collaboration are needed to turn today’s impressive ambitions into reality. However, through the constructive dialogue between innovators and policy shapers, we can put real targets in place that actual actions will follow to reach our net-zero goals.
COMPUTE SUMMIT
Compute Summit is a focused, full-day side event at the 7th Energy Tech Summit dedicated entirely to the future of digital infrastructure.
Taking place on Day 2, April 16, 10 AM to 4 PM at Euskalduna Conference Centre, (Compute stage) it brings together the entire digital infrastructure ecosystem for five high-density panel discussions and the Compute Challengers pitch competition.
Open to all Energy Tech Summit attendees.

ABOUT THE EVENT
As AI workloads scale and energy demands intensify, digital infrastructure has moved from a supporting role to the centre of the energy transition conversation. Compute Summit was created to give this topic the dedicated space it deserves - a curated one-day programme held within the Energy Tech Summit, bringing the most pressing questions in the sector into sharp focus.
The agenda spans five panel discussions covering the full spectrum of the industry: Europe's widening investment gap with global hyperscalers, the engineering and capital challenges of building giga-scale AI campuses, renewable energy and grid strategies, water sustainability, and the infrastructure design decisions that will define the next decade. Speakers and participants represent the entire ecosystem — operators, developers, hyperscalers, investors, and the startups pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
The afternoon closes with Compute Challengers, a live pitch competition where early-stage companies present next-generation solutions to the infrastructure and energy challenges tackled throughout the day — putting innovation directly in front of the decision-makers in the room.
